It is possible to see some improvement within the first few applications. However, progress rates depend on a lot of factors that may be outside of our control (e.g. original condition, weather, soil type). You can expect a gradual but steady improvement over a two year period.

It is our goal to eventually eliminate most weeds from your lawn. That said weeds germinate daily. Weeds seeds are present in the soil and can be transported by animals and wind. After weeds germinate they can be controlled by spraying a post emergent herbicide but they must be visible before doing so. Weeds that grow between scheduled services are sprayed during the next service. Some weeds may take 2 services to control.

Yes and no. It cuts down on the amount of grassy weeds like crabgrass. Broad leaf weeds and dandelions cannot be prevented. While the pre-emergent helps to greatly reduce crabgrass some can be expected.

Fertilizers have changed quite a bit in recent years. In the past most granular fertilizers were made up of larger brightly colored orange and yellow particles. These days the particles are much smaller and darker in color. In fact most of the products we apply throughout the year are grey and brown and blend in perfectly with the soil.

Summer conditions are extremely stressful to turf grass. The normal heat of summer and usual dryness can cause the growth to slow down or even a state of dormancy. A state of summer dormancy in turf grass can be characterized by a browning out or dead appearance to your lawn. Summer dormancy in turf grass is normal and actually helps to minimize the damage prevailing summer conditions can cause. Once temps cool down and rains return in late Summer and Fall your turf will green up.

Mushrooms are the result of decaying organic matter in your soil. They do not pose a threat to your lawn. Mushroom blooms are not negative and can only be controlled by kicking them over. You will notice an increase in mushrooms during wet periods of the year.

No. Sunlight is one of if not the biggest factor in establishing a full and healthy stand of turf. Without at least 4-5 hours of direct sunlight it is not possible to establish a healthy lawn.
